Creating Animated Gifs

Adding animation into your email needs to be achieved using animated GIFs. There are lots of free animated GIFs available online, but to achieve a professional looking image, which is meaningful to your audience, you will likely need to create your own animated image.

The very basic animated gif included at the top of this email was created using ezGif. There are many other options including Canva, Figma (with the Figmotion plugin), Filmora Wondershare and Adobe After Effects or Premiere.

When creating an animated gif, you need to ensure that you can optimise the file size, as animated GIFs can get very big, very quickly.

Ideas for Animations

We recommend incorporating animation into your emails strategically for the best outcomes. Consider the following:

Animate graphs to draw attention to results achieved.
Automatically rotating carousel of product images to showcase your range, or the way a particular product looks from a variety of angles or applications.
Draw attention to an important fact, such as the date of an upcoming event.
Draw attention to your call to action.
Communicate a complicated message more simply and powerfully through imagery.
