now available in your Enudge Emails

Happy New Year!  We hope that 2026 has started well for you. 

We are delighted to announce that you can now add background images to your Enudge email campaigns!

You can apply your background image to an individual row, or to your entire email message. Content blocks will appear over top of your background images, allowing you to layer content. 

Up until recently, we prevented background images because some older email clients won't display them.  The percentage of people who won't see your background image has reduced to a tolerable level, which is why we have now enabled the functionality, although you still need to be aware of this limitation and provide a fallback.

As an example, this email includes a dotted background image, repeated to fill the background area. [It's a bit much, isn't it!]  Not seeing the background?  Then you know your email client doesn't support background images!

Those with a keen eye will have noticed that our Christmas email included a background image behind the top banner, and also behind the narrow row at the very bottom of the email.
