Designated Emails and Programmatic Enhancement

We're delighted to announce that Enudge Enterprise Accounts have been enhanced by the addition of two new features.

The Australian Spam Act does not prohibit sending ‘designated commercial electronic messages’.  What's a designated commercial email?  It's important to check the legislation, but two examples are:

Examples of messages with only factual information might be a message reminding a subscriber to pay their monthly subscription fee, or asking your customers to update their contact information. 

The requirement to include an unsubscribe facility does not apply to designated commercial electronic messages.  Although many corporations choose to provide an unsubscribe feature even in their designated messages, for our Enterprise accounts we now provide the option to remove the unsubscribe facility for designated emails that are purely informational.

We recommend that commercial organisations seek legal advice before sending messages with the unsubscribe feature removed.  It is very important that such a message contains zero marketing content.

The Enudge Programmatic Content feature dynamically adapts Email or SMS content for each individual contact. By reading the value in a specific contact data field, Enudge automatically inserts the desired content (text or images) for that recipient. This allows you to effortlessly tailor messages based on a contact’s location, customer tier, specific interests, or any other data you store about your contacts.

Previously, determining the variable content could only be assessed via an "equals" operator such as customer's state = 'VIC' or = 'NSW'.  We have just launched support for the "contains" operator, allowing programmatic content to be inserted where a particular field contains the specified value e.g. custom1 contains 'XYZ'.  

This enhancement provides much greater flexibility for matching values where complex data and relationships are present.
